JOB TITLE: Inside Warehouse Associate DEPARTMENT: Sales

JOB SUMMARY: The Inside Warehouse Associate position is responsible for providing inside sales assistance to the branch manager and operations supervisor. This position is responsible for all warehouse duties and may assist route salesman and delivery drivers when needed.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITES:

  1. Responsible for accounting and maintenance of warehouse inventory. Prepares customer orders, loads and unloads batteries from the factory.
  2. Responsible for stock rotation and repair: Puts stock rotation on charge, cleans and replaces back in stock or used rack. Completes repair work as necessary.
  3. Accountable for accurate and neat paperwork.
  4. Performs all housekeeping duties.
  5. Is responsible for:
  • Understanding and following policies, procedures and instructions
  • Identifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to appropriate personnel
  • Controlling nonconforming products
  • Supporting implementation of corrective/preventive and improvement actions
  1. Is familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience with safety and environmental training
  • Forklift experience (ability to obtain forklift operator certification)
  • Basic math and computer skills

WORK ENVIRNOMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time. Bending, twisting, and turning. Full use of both hands to finger, handle, or fell objects, tools, or tooling; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk to hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear. Will wear goggles or face shield at all times while in department.
