About the Role:

The Instructor I - Youth Sports plays a vital role in fostering the physical, social, and emotional development of children through organized sports activities. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading youth sports programs that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles. The instructor will create a safe and inclusive environment where children of diverse backgrounds and abilities can learn fundamental sports skills and build confidence. By engaging with participants, parents, and community members, the instructor helps cultivate a positive recreational experience that encourages lifelong participation in physical activity. Ultimately, this role contributes to the communityโ€™s well-being by supporting youth development through structured sports education and mentorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 16+ years old
  • Experience working with children in sports or recreational settings.
  • Basic knowledge of youth sports (dance, gymnastics, t-ball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, etc.) rules, techniques, and safety practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass background checks and comply with child safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in youth sports coaching or related field.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience in organizing community sports programs or events.
  • Knowledge of multiple sports disciplines.
