Job Summary
We are a rapidly growing sports-focused company looking for the consummate team player to help us organize and operate youth basketball tournaments and showcases nationwide. As a Showcase Director, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of events.
You will be the face of our events team and responsible for upholding our standard of first-class tournaments and showcases at locations around the country. Leverage the tools, training, and resources we provide to create an elite experience for players and teams.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Event Execution. Our directors are responsible for carrying out all event set-up, check in, and run of show as well as managing all staff. You'll be working closely with the event coaching staff to ensure the best experience for all in attendance.
  • Planning and Organizing. Leading up to the event, you will collaborate with our event team at headquarters, organizing all details and checklists that go into the preparation of an event.
  • Communication. You will be responsible for communicating with all event staff including facility contacts, check-in workers, coaches and officials assignors.
  • Problem-Solving. You should be able to think on your feet and adjust to certain situations that are both in and out of your control.
  • Communication. You should have the ability to speak in front of a group 50-300 players/parents and deliver a motivational message.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Coach. It is required that you are a current or past basketball coach and have a strong passion for the game.
  • Organized. Strong ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities.
  • Event Management. Experience in running events or camps with 50-300 participants and a team of coaches.
  • Decisive and Problem Solving. Proven ability to make decisions under pressure, and solve problems on the fly.
  • Personable. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • People Management. Experience working with and managing groups of people of 10 or more.
  • Google Apps. Proficient in working in Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.

Benefits and Perks
  • Pay. Showcase Directors will be paid $530 for one event and $860 for two events, plus any expenses related to the event (rental car, hotel, meals, gas) will be paid for by Prep Network.
  • Awesome Talent. In addition to running the event, you'll get to see some of the top athletes in the country who will go on and play at the collegiate level.
  • Flexible Schedule. We run events nearly every weekend from August to October. Our directors have the flexibility to choose to work locally or travel and which weekends they go out and work.
