General Definition of Work

Position responsible for officiating of youth and adult basketball leagues and tournaments offered by the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department up to and including:

  • Men's Basketball League
  • Girls & Boys Youth Basketball Leagues
  • Girls & Boys Summer Junior High & High School Basketball Leagues
  • Jr. NBA Basketball League

Essential Functions

  • Be at assigned game sites at least fifteen minutes before scheduled game time.
  • Conduct all pre and post game duties (meet team captains/coaches, rule interpretations, game summary sheets).
  • Officiate games and enforce the rules of the game.
  • Ensure the safety of all participants.
  • Secure hazardous-free playing area.
  • Conduct yourself in a respectful, confident, and secure manner.
