Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setup and operate robotic welds in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Adjust machine setting to complete tasks according to specifications and production demands.
  • Operation of light, medium and heavy equipment including forklift.
  • Must be able to use welding equipment or the ability to learn welding procedures.
  • Sets up equipment including jigs and the loading of the raw material that are needed in the manufacturing process.
  • Reads and interprets machining instructions, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional specifications, sequences of operations, setups, and tooling requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot robot system when breakdowns occur.
  • Cleans and maintains workstation to be used daily in the production process.
  • Regular, timely attendance to meet organizational needs in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Operation of various handoperated tools related to steel fabrication.
  • Maintains equipment and performs daily inspections of equipment.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Performs special projects or assignments as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Prior forklift and operator experience a plus.
  • Experience with robot welding and basic knowledge of robot functions.
  • 2 years of experience with programming robot.
  • Basic knowledge using Fanuc systems including R-J3iB and R-30IB.
  • Basic mathematics skills and be able to read a measuring tape.
  • Team oriented.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Works in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals. Employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at the location.

Compensation:

The approximate pay range for this position is$20-22/hour + $2/hr shift differential for working night shift. Ability to make piece rate on top of hourly wage. Please note that the pay range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location.
