What is basic video editing?

Basic video editing involves simple tasks such as trimming, cutting, and arranging video clips, adding transitions, inserting text or titles, and adjusting audio levels. It is typically done using beginner-friendly software, allowing users to create polished videos without advanced technical skills. Basic editing is suitable for personal projects, social media posts, and small business content, and serves as a foundation for learning more complex video production techniques.

What are some common challenges faced by individuals in basic video editing roles, and how can they be addressed?

One common challenge in basic video editing roles is managing tight deadlines while ensuring video quality and accuracy. Editors often need to balance multiple projects, follow client or team guidelines, and make quick edits based on feedback. Job description

We are ARB Interactive, the team behind Modo Casino, one of the top Social+ platforms in the US. Founded in 2022, we've grown to nearly 200 team members and were named one of LinkedIn's 2025 Top 50 Startups in the United States. We move fast, think big, and love bold ideas that push boundaries (and buttons). From new rewards to fresh game mechanics, every challenge is a chance to innovate and have fun doing it. Our culture is collaborative, curious, and full of laughter because great ideas grow best between coffee, code, and a few epic high-fives.
As a leader in the social gaming space, we're looking for a talented and versatile Video Editor to help bring our brand, games, and marketing campaigns to life through high-impact video content.
As a Video Editor at ARB Interactive, you'll work closely with the marketing team to create performance-driven content across social platforms, paid media, and in-app experiences. You'll be responsible for crafting dynamic videos that capture attention, tell compelling stories, and drive player engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit and produce short-form video content for marketing campaigns, social media, ads, and product promotions
  • Bring static assets to life with motion graphics, text animations, and transitions
  • Collaborate with designers and marketers to align visuals with campaign goals and brand voice
  • Optimize content for performance across multiple channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, etc.)
  • Stay on top of video trends, gaming content formats, and creative best practices
  • Adapt and iterate edits based on performance metrics and creative feedback
  • Maintain organized video asset libraries and project files
  • Ensure brand consistency across all motion content

Who Will Love This Job:
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, high-iteration creative environment
  • You love experimenting with format, pacing, and storytelling to find what performs
  • You're comfortable working autonomously, but enjoy collaboration and feedback
  • You notice the little things-from frame timing to text placement
  • You design content that engages our players by tapping into what they care about
  • You thrive on cross-team collaboration, bringing ideas to life through open brainstorming and creative exploration.

Requirements:
  • Ability to work onsite 2-3 days per week at our Brickell Key, Miami office for in-person collaboration
  • 3+ years of experience in video editing and motion graphics, preferably in gaming or entertainment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
  • Strong capabilities in light 2D animation, dynamic typography, and working with custom motion graphics
  • Experience producing for mobile and digital platforms, especially paid social
  • Proven ability to execute edits end-to-end, demonstrating the technical proficiency to conceptualize and build complex sequences independently
  • Strong understanding of organized file structures and clean team handoff practices
  • Familiarity with platform-specific formats, specifications, and best practices
  • Strong visual storytelling instincts, with a keen eye for pacing, rhythm, and composition
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with sound editing, royalty-free music sourcing, and basic color grading
  • Understanding of casino/gaming aesthetics and player psychology is a plus
  • A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality creative work across digital platforms
