Machine Operator- Roll Forming

The Opportunity

Dass Metal Products is seeking experienced Machine Operators (Roll Forming) to support production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating roll-forming machinery, ensuring quality output, and maintaining production efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor roll-forming machines safely and efficiently

  • Set up machines, adjust tooling, and perform changeovers as required

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and specifications

  • Ensure products meet quality standards and tolerances

  • Perform routine inspections and basic machine maintenance

  • Troubleshoot operational issues and report mechanical concerns promptly

  • Maintain accurate production and quality records

  • Follow all health & safety policies and procedures (including PPE usage)

  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production targets

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of roll-forming machine operation experience (mandatory)

  • Experience in metal manufacturing metal studs, slotted tracks, furring channels, resilient channels preferred

  • Ability to read measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges)

  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, standing, etc.)

  • Basic understanding of workplace safety practices

  • Strong attention to detail and quality control

  • Ability to work shift work on weekends or weekdays per business requirements

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with coiled steel processing or roll-forming lines

  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices

  • Forklift experience (license is an asset)
