Job description

Are you a reliable Machine Operator candidate with experience seeking a new opportunity? This full-time, temp-to-hire machine operator opportunity with an Innovative plastic and metal Manufacturer could be a great fit for you.
This company is well-known for producing efficient products in the plastic molding field.  They produce as all sort of knobs and handles.
They’re looking for someone with your skills and experience to join their team. Your hard work will not go unnoticed, you'll enjoy growing within the company, expanding your skills, and further developing your strengths.
Machine Operating Duties:
•    Perform molding operations using standardized methods and procedures.
•    Fill mold cavities with powder or preforms; press push buttons to close the mold. Cure for a predetermined time (1 to 5 minutes), then press buttons to open the mold. Clean the mold of castings and flash using an air gun. Visually inspect the product and repeat the cycle.
•    Place inserts or pins into the mold before loading powder or preforms, as required.
•    Must know and follow all plant, departmental, and job-specific safety rules.
•    Must understand, demonstrate, and consistently follow all applicable safe operating procedures and rules, including housekeeping requirements.
Schedule:
•    1st shift
•    Monday to Friday 5:00am-1:30pm (overtime based on production needs)
Pay:
•    $17.00/hr
Machine Operating Requirements:
•    Previous metal manufacturing experience preferred.
•    Follow standard quality procedures when provided.
•    Visually inspect parts for defects according to quality standards.
•    Identify opportunities for improvement in material waste, scrap, cosmetic defects, and/or process efficiency.
•    Recommend, implement, and support improvements in cycle time.
•    Willing to perform additional duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•    Basic math skills.
