Job Description

As a Swiss Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating Tsugami Swiss CNC machines to manufacture precision parts. Your role involves loading raw materials, unloading finished products, performing basic machine adjustments, and ensuring quality standards are met through part inspection. You will monitor machine performance and inform supervisors of any issues. You will also be tasked with running both small batch and large production jobs while adhering to work instructions, blueprints, and production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Tsugami Swiss CNC machines to manufacture precision parts.
  • Load raw material and unload finished products.
  • Perform basic machine adjustments to maintain part specifications.
  • Inspect parts using measuring tools to ensure quality standards.
  • Monitor machine performance and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Execute both small batch and large production jobs based on customer needs.
  • Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and production schedules.

Essential Skills

  • Experience operating Swiss-style CNC lathes.
  • Strong understanding of CNC Swiss edits at the controller.
  • Ability to edit, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs for cycle time and efficiency improvements.
  • Proficiency in programming, including Mastercam and Solidworks.
  • Understanding of GD&T for blueprint reading and interpretation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with tooling selection, tool offsets, tool life management, and cutter compensation.
  • Experience with specific machines such as S205 and SS20/Smart 320.

Pay and Benefits
