Job description

Cleaver Brooks is looking for a** Machine Operator – Davi Plate Roller **to join our team in **Thomasville, GA. **The Machine Operator will program, set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot a Davi Plate Roller. in accordance to ASME code, for pressure vessels and related components in preparation for vessel test and fit and final assembly; accurately read blueprints; do layout from the blueprints.

**Job Location: **Thomasville, GA

Essential functions:

  • Must have the ability to understand and follow all safety rules.
  • Must have the ability to operate the overhead crane, scissor lifts and ladders.
  • Must have some basic welding skills.
  • Must know, understand, and abide by 5S housekeeping procedures and Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Must demonstrate full competence in meeting safety, quality and production standards.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot and adjust machine.
  • Must have the ability to perform basic machine maintenance on the machine
  • Must have the ability to safely load and unload material in and out of the machine

**Other Duties: **

  • Perform any other job duties as directed by the Team Leader or Supervisor. 

Basic Requirements:

Education:

  • High school degree or GED equivalent preferred; technical training at an accredited school preferred.
  • Must have good reading, writing and math skills.

Experience:

  • One to two years of Machine Operation experience and experience operating overhead cranes.

Working Conditions and Hazards:

Typical manufacturing shop environment.
