Job description

Firma Contracting is currently looking for a reliable and experienced Handyman to support our renovation and construction projects in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general renovation and repair work on residential and commercial sites
  • Support a variety of construction tasks including basic framing, flooring, and drywall installation/repairs
  • Assist with site preparation, demolition, and finishing tasks as required
  • Measure, cut, and install materials accurately based on project needs
  • Operate hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain a tidy and safe work area at all times
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to support project timelines
  • Report issues, defects, or repair needs to the supervisor as they arise
  • Follow all company safety procedures and participate in inspections as required
  • Work in a professional manner demonstrating reliability, honesty, and teamwork

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in general renovations is required
  • Working knowledge of framing, flooring, and drywall is required
  • Solid understanding of basic construction and repair practices
  • Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools
  • Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision when needed
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Safety conscious with consistent adherence to site procedures
  • Physically capable of performing manual labour in a construction environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work consistently as scheduled

Required Certifications:

  • CSTS 2020
  • WHMIS 2015
