Job Summary
Battelle is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer II. This position is located in Oxnard, CA.
The person selected for this position will be responsible for the maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of existing electrical systems as well as supporting the design and integration of new systems. This position is part of a team composed of engineers, technicians and support staff that provide maintenance and design support for electronic, mechanical and hydraulic systems in support of a long-term client program.
Responsibilities
  • Maintaining, testing and troubleshooting existing electrical/embedded systems as part of an integrated technical team.
  • Maintaining, testing and troubleshooting existing electrical/embedded systems independently with minimal oversight.
  • Working closely with the Battelle engineers located in Columbus OH to design, fabricate and integrate new electrical/embedded systems.
  • Working closely with onsite clients and associate contractors to define system requirements and integrate systems.
  • Generating and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Generating and following installation and testing procedures within a stringent client quality assurance system.
  • Work temporary assignments outside the Oxnard, CA area up to 120 days.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; 2-5 years of experience or master's degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Level 5 Top Secret (TS) clearance
  • Physically fit to accomplish required tasking including working from ladders and in confined spaces.
  • Solid grasp of basic electrical engineering concepts and ability to learn
  • Experience with standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.
  • Experience with computer languages/programs such as C, Matlab, Word, Excel, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Currently holds or have held a Level 5 TS Clearance in the last five years.
  • Additional work experience in the electrical engineering field
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering design tools and methods
  • Experience generating and interpreting engineering schematics
  • Experience working in a lab environment, including preparing, conducting, and documenting tests, soldering, and wiring
  • Signal processing experience, both software and hardware based
  • Experience with programming in additional languages

Pay rate: $100,000-120,000
