Applicants must hold (or be eligible to obtain) a CTE teaching certificate with the appropriate 3 years full-time occupational experience-based endorsements:

  • V078000 College program and BA Degree plus 2000 Occupational Experience other than teaching.
  • Must also apply for the Residency Teacher certificate or apply to add the endorsement to your teacher certificate and take and pass the basic skills test and the content knowledge test and obtain the Residency Teacher certificate or the endorsement before the Initial CTE certificate can be issued.
  • OR Vcodes to teach the following courses (must have Vcode alignment for each course):
    • Introduction to AI Explorers (521206)
    • Introduction to Business Arts (V521401, OR V520100)
    • Introduction to AI Graphic Design (V100100, OR V210100, OR V521206)
    • Computer Science Discoveries (V07000, OR V141000, OR V210100, OR 521206, OR V470110)
    • Yearbook (V100100, V210100, V521206) 

Additional Requirements

  • Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED and OSHA Trainer Certifications
  • Pass Criminal Background Fingerprinting with WSP and FBI
  • Successfully complete OSPI required training

Proof of Qualification

  • Candidates must hold or be able to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement.
