Job description

Job Summary:
Roche is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers through its Support Network. As a Field Engineering Specialist, you will travel to provide technical repair and installation services for Roche products, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective problem-solving and support.
Responsibilities:
• travel and showcase your expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines
• offer valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory
• routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products
• serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance
• diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures
• document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
Required:
• High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience are required
• 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking is necessary. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of progressive experience will suffice
• Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy is mandatory
• The ability to travel, including overnight travel, is a requirement for this role
Preferred:
• 8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience are required
• Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry
• The ability to serve as an internal technical resource, provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships is essential
