Job description

We are currently seeking Line Cooks to join the Proof of the Pudding team at the Pensacola baseball stadium. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking food items that result in high quality of taste and appearance to satisfy guests and maximize food revenues. 

This is seasonal/part-time work as business needs are dictated by athletic events 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Setting up and sanitizing workstations. 
  • Following prep lists that arecreatedby lead culinary. 
  • Measuringingredients,and seasonings. 
  • Preparing cooking ingredients such as soup stock (HOT FOODS) to be used in the cooking process. 
  • Preparing simple dishes as directed by the Executive Chef. 
  • Ensuringall food items areproperly storedand easily accessible. 
  • Assistingchefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise. 
  • Supervising food and cooling room temperatures. 
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen. 
  • Maintaining the highest level of food quality with your culinary team. 
  • Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen/food service areas. 
  • Running food on game-days. 
  • Performs other related duties as required. 

Education and/or Experience:  

  • 1+ year of experience working in a kitchen, experience in catering is preferred. 
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • ServSafe certified or is available to receive training. 

Specialized Qualifications: 

  • Capable of producing a consistent productin a timely manner. 
  • Excellent listening and communication skills 
  • Must understand food safety practices including, but not limited to, TCS, temperature logs, and cleaning/sanitizing. 
  • Planning and multi-tasking 
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level and strong verbal communication. 
  • Availability toworkall home baseball games. 

Work Environment   

The work environment for this position will be event operations and working throughout the culinary department located at the baseball stadium.

  • Prolonged periods of moving through an event space, and traveling throughout the stadium

  • Manual dexterityabletooperatecutting tools and kitchen utensils. 
  • Must be able to liftup-to40 pounds at times.
