Position Overview:  

Diamond Baseball Holdings is seeking a highly motivated, well-organized, results-oriented sales professional that will be instrumental in building the ticketing strategy from the ground up and creating the foundation to surpass short-term and long-term ticket revenue goals, attendance goals, and retention goals. The Director of Group Ticket Sales will report to and collaborate with the Executive Vice President.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a sales team to build a dynamic group sales environment that will exceed the sales goals of the organization 
  • Actively sell and maintain a healthy book of ticket sales business 
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and executing the short-term and long-term ticket sales strategies of the organization 
  • Evaluate the daily activities of the sales team and provide regular feedback, training, coaching, and leadership during weekly reviews 
  • Provide guidance on the sales process including assistance with prospecting, qualifying potential clients, presenting solutions and hosting consistent meetings with everyone on a regular basis 
  • Regularly measure the effectiveness of the organization’s various sales campaigns and offerings and provide recommendations for further improvement 
  • Cultivate strong relationships within the community that will encourage tickets sales and build a sales pipeline 
  • Utilize feedback from clients to develop additional benefits, address concerns, improves, communicates, and betters the ticket offerings moving forward 
  • Represent the organization in the community at various events and work to identify new key community relationships and partnership that will assist in growing the organization 
  • Actively remain aware of trends and developments within our league and industry and provide ideas and insights to improve our ticket sales portfolio  
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Sport Management, or a related field 
  • 4+ years of experience in ticket or other B2B and B2C sales 
  • 2+ year of sales leadership experience 
  • Experience with Archtics preferred
  • Sales minded, leadership professional
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and retain a sales staff 
  • Team above self-mentality 
  • High personal accountability 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills 
  • Desire to cultivate strong relationships within and outside of the organization 
  • Ability to be creative, take calculated risks, and strive to better the standing of the organization 
  • Ability to communicate articulately and confidently, both verbally and in writing, with individuals at every level
