Job description

Job Title: Baseball/Softball Field Maintenance
Location: Marshalltown
Department: Athletics
Reports To: Director of Athletics
Semester: Fall 2026 and Spring 2027
Number of Openings: 6
Rate of Pay: $9.00 per hour
Summary: Work involves maintaining the baseball/softball fields. keeping the facilities clean and fixing any issues appropriately. The length of employment is routinely the academic year (fall and spring terms); however, some work may be performed during the summer as needed.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Dragging the infield and warning track keeping
  • Painting the lines on the field
  • Set up equipment and prepare the playing surface for the scheduled game/event
  • Abilities: Good people skills and a helpful attitude; attention to detail and accuracy completing tasks. Must have a basic knowledge of softball and baseball field maintenance.

Tools and Equipment Usage: Rakes, shovels and paint equipment
Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent
