Assistant Project Manager – BAS Controls / HVAC

Atlanta, GA
Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 DOE
Direct Hire | Full-Time

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC Controls projects in the Atlanta market. This position will work closely with Project Managers, field technicians, engineers, contractors, and customers to help coordinate projects from kickoff through completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Project Managers with planning, coordination, and execution of BAS/HVAC controls projects
  • Track project schedules, materials, submittals, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Assist with project updates, change orders, RFIs, and project closeout activities
  • Support field teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality standards
  • Review project drawings, scopes of work, and construction documents
  • Participate in project meetings and occasional job site visits
  • Maintain accurate project records and communication throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC, BAS controls, mechanical contracting, electrical, or commercial construction
  • Experience supporting projects, coordinating teams, or working in a field operations environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read construction drawings and project documentation preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with BAS/BMS systems, HVAC equipment, or building systems is a plus
