Job Description:

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: Lab Tutor in Cosmetology (Appalachian campus, 7:30pm - 12:30pm)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: For your application to be considered complete, please submit the online application along with a cover letter, resume, and transcript (if applicable). Prior to hiring, candidates will undergo a pre-employment criminal background check, motor vehicle records review, and employer/professional reference verification. After initial screening, additional documentation may be requested.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Part-time position based on a semester system. This is an open-ended announcement. Each semester, applications will be reviewed.

Responsibilities are centered on assisting all Cosmetology students with their lab work and coursework.

NOTE: Lab Tutor positions are part time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis. Therefore, your employment is limited and there is no expectation that your association with Chatt Tech will extend beyond this term.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of Cosmetology coursework through COSM 1070 with a grade of "B" or higher

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of Cosmetology Diploma/Licensed Master Cosmetologist

SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary--$15.00 per hour. There are no State Benefits.
