Job Title: Bartender Department: F&B
Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager Effective Date: September 2024
Job Summary:
North Ridge Country Club is a private country club offering our members multiple food and beverage outlets, all providing members with platinum dining experience. Our bartenders deliver exceptional beverage service in a welcoming environment. Bartenders are responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including classic cocktails, fine wines, and craft beers, while ensuring a high standard of service and presentation.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
  • Create and present cocktails and beverages with flair and consistency.
  • Provide exceptional service by engaging with customers, taking drink orders, and delivering beverages promptly.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including countertops, sinks, and storage spaces.
  • Follow health and safety standards, including sanitation practices and safe handling of alcohol and glassware.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service and monitor guests' consumption to prevent over-serving.
  • Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
  • Assist with the setup and service for special events, parties, and functions held at the venue.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as washing glassware, disposing of waste, and maintaining a tidy bar area.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to manage multiple drink orders and tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
Efficiently prioritize and execute tasks to maintain smooth bar operations.
Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding the sale of alcohol, including checking IDs to verify legal drinking age.
Maintain an extensive knowledge of drink recipes, ingredients, and garnish.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking around the Club campus.
*In addition to afore mentioned details, a bartender must act in a professional, respectful and fair manner at all times. This should be directed towards members, guests and all club staff. If disciplinary action must be taken, the bartender must act in the best interest of the club and membership. Judgement should be made in moments of urgency but follow up should occur with direct managers as soon as possible.
