Job Title: Bartender
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt/Part-Time
Reports To: General Manager/Management Team
Work Schedule: 20-30 hours per week
Salary Range: $16.90/hour + Tips

Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to guests in the lounge and dining room. Key responsibilities include preparing and serving drinks, maintaining bar supplies (mixes, garnishes, and purees), and ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all patrons. The bartender must have a deep knowledge of the food and beverage menu and comply with Alcohol Beverage Control Rules and Regulations.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent communication and 'sales' skills to enhance guest experiences.
  • Guide guests through the menu, demonstrating thorough knowledge of food, beverages, and ingredients.
  • Take accurate orders and work with team members to deliver food and beverages exceeding guest expectations.
  • Prepare mixed drinks, pour wine or beer, and serve bottled or soft drinks per company recipes.
  • Monitor guest behavior to ensure adherence to Alcohol Beverage Control Rules and Regulations.
  • Take drink orders through servers or directly from guests.
  • Deliver friendly, professional service that encourages guests to return.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Maintain current CA Food Handler's Certification and Alcohol Safety Certification.
Physical Demands
  • Constantly: Standing, walking, manually manipulating objects, reaching outward and above shoulder, grasping, speaking (up to 10 hours/day).
  • Frequently: Lifting/carrying 21-50 lbs, pushing/pulling 13-25 lbs (up to 66% of the time).
  • Occasionally: Sitting, climbing, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
