Essential Functions
The Director of Sales (DOS) is responsible for leading a market area team to achieve sales, profit, freshness and market share growth objectives. The DOS leads a team consisting of Regional Sales Leaders and Operation Sales Support Leaders, engaging and empowering everyone to execute with excellence and deliver on accountabilities.
The primary role is to positively impact the results of the sales team by leading, developing and motivating the team to operate with Excellence, pursuing continuous improvement while achieving marketplace execution objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Achieve expected individual performance to Goal for established Barcel KPI's. (Sales, VPO, Service, Saturation, Voids, Execution (Strategic/Marketing/Promotion)
Sets granular Regional Sales Leader goals for established Barcel KPI's. (Sales, VPO, Service, Saturation, Voids, Execution (Strategic/Marketing/Promotion)
Responsible for ensuring Regional Sales Leader accountability to Executing, Communication, Planning Barcel Customer and Marketing strategies.
Sets Goals and Ensures Alignment to Goal for all Barcel Customer and Marketing strategies with Barcel Teams and Regional Sales Leaders.
Achieves performance to Goal for all Customer and Marketing strategies.
Responsible for ensuring all Regional Sales Leaders understand and execute the Order Management process.
Responsible for ensuring Barcel orders support aligned on Customer and Marketing plan strategies.
Responsible for Development, Support and Execution of Barcel Brand Stewardship in Market, in coordination with Barcel/BBU/DSDE COE.
Responsible for execution and accountability of OTIF Barcel and BBU results from Plant to DC to SC.
Coordinates and Ensures implementation of all Barcel training in assigned geography.
Leads, Trains and Develops Regional Sales Leaders through disciplined coaching process, expectation is 60% or 3 days.
Ensures communication and validation of POS material expectations to BBU is executed to ensure strategic, promotional , marketing and "Gold Standard" Barcel execution.
Ensures and Supports Business Review execution with BBU Sales Operations. (KPI, Customer, Marketing results)
Responsible to lead and act as a Vision Carrier for DSDE ( BBU Way to DSDE, BBU Way to Coach, BBU Way to Sell, BBU Way to Operate, BBU Way to WC Merchandising, BBU Way to Safety Excellence)
Creates an engaged, frontline focused sales culture through consistent prioritization of business partners' capabilities, needs and business growth.
Responsible to ensure key customer relationships are maintained and established in assigned area to drive Barcel performance.
Responsible for planning, development, coordination, communication and execution of Barcel to BBU Project support - Multi Step - "1800."
Coordinates, validates, processes requests and ensures value for Barcel MSL "project" support in market area.
Ensures all BBU Sales Operations is aligned to Barcel forecast for assigned area.
Responsible for ensuring Sales Commitment process is understood and executed by all team members.
Ensures communication and feedback loop to Barcel customer teams, all channels is established and executed.
Supports and Ensures the Execution of Barcel "Competing to Win" messaging in BBU Sales Centers to support Barcel strategic objectives.
Support and lead Safety in assigned area.
Empowers, Confirms understanding and holds Team accountable executing Leader Standard Work, drives continuous improvement through Leader Standard Work process.
Ensures Regional Sales Leader weekly calendar/LSW is executed.
Communicates and Collaborates effectively with all functions.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree or relevant work experience
7+ years of experience in DSD
Strong analytical exeperience with proficiency in all Microsoft office.
Experience working in or managing an Account Executive role is a plus
Proven track record of effective leadership including people development
