Bar Manager - The Trop Bar & Grill

The Trop Bar & Grill is seeking a passionate, organized, and dependable Bar Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our bar. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced hospitality professional who takes initiative, makes sound decisions, and is ready to take ownership of the department.

What You'll Do

Lead daily bar operations and serve as the primary point of leadership for the bar team

Complete weekly liquor, beer, and wine orders while maintaining appropriate inventory levels

Manage liquor costs, inventory controls, ordering, and product waste

Build and maintain strong relationships with liquor, beer, and beverage representatives

Coordinate promotions, sponsorships, pricing, and product opportunities with suppliers

Communicate expectations, priorities, and important updates to the bar team

Address bar-related concerns promptly and hold team members accountable

Maintain an organized, efficient, and well-stocked bar

Work closely with the General Manager and contribute actively to the management team

Work regular bartending shifts as part of the role

What We're Looking For

At least 3 years of bartending experience

1-2 years of management, supervisory, or team-lead experience

Strong knowledge of bar operations and the hospitality industry

Experience with inventory management, ordering, and liquor-cost control

Organized, reliable, accountable, and comfortable working independently

Confident decision-maker with strong initiative and problem-solving skills

Clear communicator who can lead a team and maintain performance standards

Genuine passion for hospitality and a desire to take ownership of the bar

Compensation

$20 per hour for Bar Manager responsibilities, plus regular bartending shifts and tips.
