Job Description
The Banner Functional Analyst provides support for the functional areas of the Banner ERP system. This is accomplished by collaborating with the Finance department to enhance the Banner ERP; researching and reviewing Ellucian documentation, forums and online training; assisting in the implementation of Banner integrated systems; training staff on Banner usage and functionality; and communicating the functional needs of departments on campus in collaboration with the technology staff. Other duties include assisting in Banner ERP upgrades and deployments; providing support in Banner data and reporting; and administration of Banner-related applications.
This is an exempt, professional staff position reporting to the Manager, Banner Analysts.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this position
Required Education
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
  • Minimum of three years of experience with ERP systems as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst role
  • Experience with financial systems
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Proficiency in operating computers and related software, printers, and other standard office equipment.
Knowledge of, and ability to apply applicable policies, procedures, and/or practices.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Skill in utilizing sound judgement to make effective decisions.
Skill in organizing, evaluating, and analyzing complex information.
Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
Skill in using mathematics to solve problems.
Ability to accurately prepare documents, reports, and correspondence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Banner ERP
  • Experience with administration of ERP-related applications (workflow tools, document management tools, etc)
  • Data reporting tool experience (Argos, Cognos, PowerBi, etc)
Hours per Week 40 - 100% General Weekly Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, with your schedule set in coordination with your supervisor
