What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Interact directly with transaction team members on matters; Your direct supervisor will be the Senior Director of Growth (our firm does not have vice presidents).
  • Create transaction financial models to be used in valuation, structuring and negotiation.
  • Prepare detailed memoranda and presentations describing the key attributes of client companies and industries.
  • Data gathering, document review and preparation of reports.
  • Research & financial analysis of target companies, contracts, and opportunities
  • Communication with business owners to ensure delivery of exceptional client service.
  • Learn and grow from direct on the job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs.
  • Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships within the firm and externally with clients, attorneys, lenders and other professionals.
  • Support the growth and development of team members and help Analysts meet their professional goals.


Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:ย 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, engineering, or related field desired, but not absolutely required.
  • Two (2)+ yearsโ€™ experience performing transaction advisory work highly desired; professional services firm experience preferred.
  • I-Banking Associates not continuing for a 3rd year are highly encouraged to apply. This position will be structured as part-time for the right person, allowing concurrent attendance at Business School.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, project management, communication, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills required.
  • Experience creating discounted cash flow and leveraged buyout models and analysis.
  • Ability to exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties. Typical projects will be very short-term and will involve researching firms, ideas, opportunities, financial modeling, and opinion memos (very short and concise); This is an internally focused position, but success here will sometimes require external interaction.
  • Students pursing an MBA or JD in Metro DC area are HIGHLY encouraged to apply.
  • Willingness to relocate to the DC metro area. Remote work is highly encouraged and utilized, but routine (weekly or bi-weekly) visits to our office in Arlington is required.
