Job description

Manager, Finance (Project Finance)

Location: Austin, Texas

Reports To: Director, Finance

Position Overview

Our client, an infrastructure developer, is seeking a Manager of Finance to support project finance, financial modeling, and transaction execution across a rapidly scaling data center platform.

This role is ideal for a candidate with Investment Banking, Project Finance, or Infrastructure Finance experience who wants to transition into an operating environment while remaining deeply involved in deal execution and capital strategy.

The Manager will play a key role in building financial models, supporting capital raises, and executing transactions, working closely with senior finance leadership and external capital providers.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models at the project and portfolio level
  • Model cash flows, capital structures, and return profiles
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning
  • Support investment decisions with clear, data-driven analysis

Project Finance Support

  • Assist in structuring project-level debt and equity financing
  • Analyze financing alternatives and support recommendations
  • Prepare materials for lenders and investors
  • Support evaluation of project economics and capital deployment

Transaction Execution

  • Support execution of financing transactions from diligence through closing
  • Coordinate with lenders, investors, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders
  • Assist in preparation of credit memos, investment presentations, and data rooms
  • Track transaction workstreams and ensure deliverables are met

Strategic & Operational Support

  • Partner with development and operations teams on financial inputs
  • Support pricing analysis and contract evaluation
  • Assist with long-term capital planning and portfolio analysis

Capital Markets Exposure

  • Support ongoing interactions with banks, lenders, and investors
  • Assist with lender reporting and compliance deliverables
  • Monitor market trends and financing conditions

Qualifications

  • 1.5–3 years of experience in Investment Banking (preferably at the Analyst level or fairly recently promoted from Analyst), Project Finance, Infrastructure Finance, or a related field
  • Strong financial modeling skills (expected to be hands-on and technically strong)
  • Experience working on transactions, capital raises, or structured finance
  • Experience in infrastructure, energy, power, or data centers preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
