• 7+ years of Project Management experience

• Proven experience delivering complex projects end-to-end within large enterprise organizations

• Previous experience working within a major bank or financial institution (BMO experience considered a strong asset)

• AML (Anti-Money Laundering) project experience

• Strong understanding of project governance, regulatory controls, and audit requirements within banking environments

• Experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership and executive stakeholders

• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills

• Strong knowledge of Waterfall project delivery methodologies

• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

• PMP Certification

We are seeking a Project Manager to support a portfolio of initiatives within the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) space at a leading Canadian financial institution. This individual will be responsible for driving project delivery, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and ensuring strong governance, controls, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.


This role requires an experienced banking Project Manager who can operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment while successfully navigating competing priorities and executive-level stakeholders.


Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of AML-related projects and initiatives

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and key milestones

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting

• Maintain RAID logs and proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues

• Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership

• Create executive-level presentations, dashboards, and reporting materials

• Facilitate project governance activities, steering committee meetings, and executive reviews

• Coordinate resource planning and project staffing requirements

• Partner with business, technology, risk, compliance, and operations teams to drive successful delivery

• Ensure adherence to project management standards, banking controls, and audit requirements

• Drive stakeholder alignment and manage competing priorities across multiple groups

• Escalate risks and issues appropriately while developing mitigation strategies to maintain project objectives
