Job description

We are seeking a dependable and adaptable intern (10–12 hours per week) to work in our Grand Prairie warehouse to fulfill purchases, support order management processes, inventory forecasting, and logistics coordination.

This role requires availability Wednesday–Friday from 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

This role is responsible for organizing and managing inventory, handling shipping logistics and investigations, checking the PO box regularly for payment and deposits, and ensuring efficient fulfillment operations. With a focus on accuracy, problem-solving, and process improvement, this position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and delivering excellent service.

The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, highly organized, with excellent communication skills to support the internal team. This person is detail oriented and always willing to jump in to tackle problems. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Shipping & Kitting Management
    • Responsible for organizing inbound and outbound materials, kitting, and shipments as needed when purchases are placed.
  • Fulfill Order Management Processes
    • Driving efficiency and accuracy in order fulfillment, reducing errors, delays, and escalations while improving customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Forecasting & Management
    • Preventing shortages in inventory, reducing costs and ensuring smooth order fulfillment.
  • Receiving and Depositing Payments
    • Ensure timely pick-ups from PO Box and check deposits at the bank
  • Shipping Logistics & Investigation Support
    • Ensuring timely deliveries, minimizing lost shipments, and swiftly resolves shipping issues.

Other Duties as Assigned

Other duties as assigned by Operations Team as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a similar role or relevant education experience.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
    • Preference given to applicants studying supply chain, logistics, or operations management.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Competency in inventory management tools including Excel.
    • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, Confluence, an Monday.
    • Willingness to learn our Order Management ticketing system through HubSpot.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills:
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Additional Qualities:
    • Highly motivated and self-directed.
