Purpose

The Senior Manager, Product and Solutions, Private Banking, serves as the central product relationship manager and advocate for Private Banking across Scotiabank. They will be responsible for representing Private Banking in enterprise product initiatives, influence product roadmaps and identifying opportunities to enhance client value propositions. They will work cross functionally across the bank to deliver integrated solutions that meet the complex needs of Private Banking customers.

What you will be doing:

  • Serve as the primary Private Banking representative and relationship manager across key product partners within the Bank
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with product leaders responsible for deposits, lending, investments, payments, cards, cash management FX, insurance and wealth solutions
  • Ensure Private Banking priorities are well understood and considered in product development and investment decisioning
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the Private Banking value proposition and ensure Private Banking requirements, impacts, risks and opportunities are incorporated through project lifecycles
  • Develop a deep understanding of Private Banking client needs, front line requirements, industry trends and competitive offerings
  • Advocate for enhancements that improve client experience, improve client experience and drive growth
  • Identify gaps in existing product capabilities and partner with relevant teams to solution
  • Evaluate competitor offerings and industry best practices to inform future enhancements
  • Ensure product and service offerings align with evolving client expectations
  • Facilitate alignment across multiple stakeholder groups with competing priorities
  • Drive decision making through data driven insights and support business case development
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings and market developments


Do you have the skills to enable you to be successful in this role? We would love to work with you if you have:

  • 5+ years of management experience, including in product, finance, pricing or strategy role(s).
  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent diploma) required; graduate degree an assetย 
  • Experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, Product and Pricing functions
  • Knowledge of lending, deposits, payments and retail/commercial channels
  • Experience leading product development initiatives
  • Strong facilitator, with the ability to lead team of senior contributors to overall objectives
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage relationships across the bank
