Our Administrative Clerks support the operations of the department in which they are assigned.
We are seeking Administrative Support for our Escrow Team!
As one of Alaska's largest private note servicers, we help our business customers enhance their customers' experience by providing a safe and secure way to make and receive payments and store legal documents - leaving them more time to focus on building strong customer relationships.
The successful candidate will have Customer Service skills - ability to answer and manage heavy incoming calls, take accurate messages, greet customers and direct flow of incoming traffic; able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; Administrative skills - routing mail, scanning and indexing, processing payments, data entry, filing, assembling packets for mailing, etc.; Other helpful skills - ability to listen and follow directions, manages time effectively, organized, and detail oriented; Soft Skills - present self as professional, friendly and courteous.
We have a competitive salary schedule based upon minimum experience to very experienced; the job/salary offer would be commensurate with your experience.
Administrative Clerk II: $19.70/hour minimum. The right candidate could be offered a Department Representative, Department Associate or Senior Department Associate position.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARY
Provides intermediate-level clerical and administrative support within the operating unit, section or department by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Performs the full complement of general clerical and administrative tasks; composes correspondence, updates and maintains records, orders supplies, and processes invoices and payments.
  2. Answers, routes and places telephone calls, receives and relays messages to work area personnel, and distributes and sends mail. Greets and directs visitors to appropriate individuals, and schedules appointments.
  3. Completes work area-specific tasks and assists work area personnel with special projects as assigned by supervisor. Generates reports, compiles statistics, and summarizes data for supervisor's approval; may perform basic review of documents for accuracy and conformity to established standards.
  4. Develops and maintains spreadsheets, and may update databases; performs data entry and word processing; and may review lower level administrative employees' work for accuracy.
  5. Responds to internal and external customer requests for information, and maintains awareness of subject matter experts within the work area and the bank for effective referral.
  6. May schedule and coordinate meeting facilities and equipment, take minutes, and generate and distribute reviewed and approved minutes to appropriate personnel.
  7. May update and maintain the central task and event calendar.
  8. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
COMPLIANCE EXPECTATIONS

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Eighteen months office or related experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
Preferred: Business related coursework. Banking experience.
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to keyboard 45 wpm, operate a 10-key calculator; word processing and spreadsheet experience required. Database software experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
