Job description

Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. In this role, you will:

  • Pitch and execute debt transactions in Syndicated Bank, Institutional Loan, and High Yield Debt Capital Markets
  • Engage in Best Efforts transactions as well as in Corporate and Sponsor Underwriting activities for event-driven transactions
  • Analyze companies and their Capital Structure
  • Make recommendations to clients
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within Investment Banking Program
  • Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium deliverables
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal and external customers


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Leveraged Finance or Corporate Banking experience
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance; MBA or CFA a plus
  • Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused collaborative and fast paced team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results

Job Expectations:
  • Willingness to work on-site in accordance with current office requirements
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
  • Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. In accordance with FINRA rules, individuals who are subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.
  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Information will be shared about expectations during the recruitment process.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
