Transport Driver – Southmont

Washington, PA  Full-time; Hourly, Non-exempt; On an As-Needed Basis; primarily dayshift, Monday through Friday, with some occasional weekend hours 

Starting Pay: $16.25 - $18.00/hour; Depending on Experience

Expert registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and social workers partner with residents, their families, and their doctors to provide personalized care plans. Southmont also provides short-term rehabilitation that can include physical, occupational, and/or speech therapies.

The Transport Driver is responsible for providing transportation for our residents on an as-needed basis for appointments, outings, and special events. The driver will provide safe transportation for residents, staff, and others. Operates Community or leased/rented motor vehicle(s) to complete a variety of pick-up, delivery, and other assignments to meet business and resident needs.

Requirements for the Transport Driver:

  • Have a high school education
  • Certified in CPR/First Aid/AED at time of hire is preferred
  • One year of passenger van and shuttle bus driving experience preferred
  • Experience with transporting elderly residents and people with disabilities preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Possess a current, valid PA Driver's License
  • Be able to effectively interact with residents, resident families, and team members using excellent customer service skills.
