Job description

New York, NY (Hybrid) Salary Range: $90,000–$120,000 The Senior Physical Security Administrator supports Apple Bank’s Head of Safety & Security with organization wide physical and electronic security programs and is also responsible for developing programs to combat security issues, as well as other vulnerabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide operational support for the Bank’s physical and electronic security across the retail branch network and related business operations, including during-hours and after-hours monitoring, incident response protocols and support.
  • Assist with the administration, monitoring, maintenance, testing and change management of enterprise electronic security systems, including intrusion alarms, video surveillance and enterprise access control platforms.
  • Coordinate third-party security vendor activity and respond to escalated branch and enterprise security system issues, working with internal stakeholders and service providers to dispatch service, resolve issues, restore functionality and document outcomes.
  • Conduct branch safety and security reviews and physical security inspections to assess compliance with internal standards, regulatory expectations and established security protocols.
  • Support physical security projects for new branches, relocations, renovations, closures and technology upgrades, coordinating with Facilities, Information Technology, Retail Banking, vendors and other business partners.
  • Partner with the Head of Safety & Security/Bank Security Officer to develop, implement and continuously improve safety, security and training programs.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging threats, regulatory guidance and security best practices to identify vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements to the Bank’s physical security program.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School Degree or GED required.
  • 5 + years of relevant experience required.
  • Industry certifications and or experience with financial institution security programs preferred.
  • Extensive understanding of intrusion detection, video operations and enterprise access control and supporting technologies is required.
  • Significant knowledge of security industry standards and best practices; ability to independently diagnose and solve complex physical and electronic security issues.
