Job description

Job Title: Part-Time Unarmed Security Guard
Schedule: Fridays and Saturdays

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional part-time Unarmed Security Officer to maintain a visible and proactive presence at a bank in Bend, Oregon. The officer will primarily be stationed outside the branch, helping to deter criminal activity, monitor the premises, and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Exterior & Interior Patrol (90% Exterior / 10% Interior):

  • Deter criminal activity through high visibility presence around the ATM and exterior areas.
  • Patrol parking areas to ensure only bank members and staff are utilizing the lot.
  • Report graffiti, drug paraphernalia, or hazards to staff.
  • Assist in keeping the exterior grounds and parking area clean and orderly.

Customer Service & Safety:

  • Greet and acknowledge all individuals entering and exiting the property.
  • Communicate with Parking Enforcement to report unauthorized vehicles for citation or removal.
  • Assist branch staff in identifying and directing visitors, vendors, or members as needed.
  • Maintain situational awareness of all activity on and around the property.
  • Contact emergency services in the event of a medical emergency or security incident.

Reporting & Communication:

  • Complete regular check-in reports and incident reports as required.
  • Notify staff prior to starting breaks or lunch.

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience in security, patrol, or related field preferred.
  • Required to have an Oregon DPSST Unarmed Security license or possess the ability to acquire one.
  • Strong observational and situational awareness skills.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Must not carry any weapons or replica weapons while on duty.
  • No personal cell phone use while on post.

Other Expectations:

  • Maintain a respectful, helpful, and neutral demeanorโ€”be present but not overly conversational.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
  • Must comply with all company and client specific guidelines and policies.
