Responsibilities
The Assistant Banking Center Manager (ABCM) supports the Banking Center Manager in leading a high-performing team focused on delivering exceptional client experiences and strong financial results. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the banking center, including team execution, client service delivery, and operational discipline.
The ABCM actively coaches team members, reinforces expectations, and ensures consistent execution of sales, service, and operational standards. This role plays a critical leadership position within the banking center, providing managerial coverage, driving performance, and developing team capability.
In partnership with the Banking Center Manager and Market Service Leader, the ABCM ensures the banking center operates in alignment with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining a strong focus on client experience and efficient daily operations.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $21.50/Hr. - $37.50/Hr. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled.
Key Accountabilities
Banking Center Operations & Execution
  • Own day-to-day banking center operations, ensuring effective workflow, staffing alignment, and consistent service delivery.
  • Provide coverage for the Banking Center Manager, ensuring continuity of performance and operations.
  • Monitor daily performance and operational activity, addressing issues and maintaining consistency.

Client Experience & Relationship Growth
  • Support a client-centric culture focused on understanding needs, providing advice, and delivering personalized financial solutions.
  • Reinforce consistent execution of the sales process, including referrals, cross-selling, and digital adoption.
  • Engage directly with clients to resolve issues, support relationship growth, and ensure a positive experience.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Coach team members through regular observation and feedback to strengthen service delivery, operational accuracy, and consultative sales skills.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and development of team members to build a strong and capable team.
  • Oversee scheduling of market or shared staff to ensure appropriate coverage across banking centers.

Operational Excellence & Risk Management
  • Ensure consistent execution of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements within daily operations.
  • Partner with the Market Service Leader to support operational discipline, controls, and audit readiness.
  • Monitor operational activity, identify issues, and reinforce accountability for accuracy and compliance.
  • Balance efficient operations with strong risk management to protect clients and the bank.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Associate degree in business or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in banking, retail, or a client-facing environment, including exposure to sales and operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, or influence others to achieve performance goals.
  • Understanding of banking center operations, sales practices, and client service expectations.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred but not required.
  • NMLS registered or eligible to register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry.
