Job description

About Valinor

Valinor is building a new kind of credit institution — one with the rigor and judgment of a financial firm and the speed and ambition of a technology company. We originate, structure, and distribute institutional-grade credit products natively on blockchain-based rails, with AI-driven operations and in partnership with the broader digital asset ecosystem. We recently raised a $25M seed round and are a small, high-conviction team operating at the frontier of capital markets.

The role

This is a exciting seat for someone early in their career, with a potential path to Chief of Staff. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founder every day: managing priorities, running our outsourced providers, keeping documents, trackers, and deadlines in order, and taking whatever lands on your plate and running through walls to get it done. You'll spot what's broken or missing and fix it before anyone asks, turning one-off tasks into repeatable, automated systems. This is a fast-paced startup: no task is too big or too small, you'll get more responsibility than you think you're ready for, and how fast you grow is up to you.

What you'll do

  • Founder & CEO support: work side-by-side with the CEO to manage priorities and scheduling, prep meetings, own follow-ups, and turn messy, half-formed asks into finished output — the training ground for a future Chief of Staff.
  • Vendor management: coordinate with people and outsourced providers (corporate cards, payroll, benefits, insurance, IT, etc.); own the vendor and contract tracker (costs, renewals, contacts).
  • People operations: coordinate basic HR policies, run hiring logistics (interview scheduling, candidate tracking) and employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Events & media: organize and execute team events, offsites, and investor and partner gatherings; research industry conferences worth attending and track event invites and outreach; provide light support on social and content coordination (helping coordinate posts and materials across the team).
  • Office management: keep the office running day-to-day — manage experience and upkeep
  • Document, process & systems: maintain the firm's document management structure (SharePoint), naming conventions, and process playbooks; keep checklists and trackers live and accurate; keep Notion data current (company database tagging and hygiene, someday/maybe lists, CRM data).
  • Automation: improve and automate recurring workflows, including the AI-assisted processes we already run; maintain AI-assisted decision logs capturing key meeting decisions, postmortems, and event debriefs.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • 0–4 years of experience — operations, admin, internships, campus leadership, or anything where you got real things done.
  • A positive, "yes" attitude (non-negotiable): you meet every ask with energy and optimism, default to "yes, and I'll figure it out," stay upbeat under pressure, and leave everyone better for having you in the room.
  • High agency, low ego: you don't wait to be told what to do, you move fast, and no task is beneath you. Chasing vendors, fixing logistics and supporting others are all part of the job.
  • Strong organization: you build and maintain trackers, follow naming conventions, and leave a clean paper trail others can pick up.
  • Comfort picking up new tools fast: expense platforms (e.g., Ramp), payroll systems, DocuSign, SharePoint or similar.
  • Clear communication: you write and speak concisely, and you flag risks early.
  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Bonus points

  • Interest in digital assets and / or finance is a plus, not a requirement; we'll train.
  • Background in a high-intensity environment (fund, law, consulting, banking, startup, military, or competitive sport).
  • You use AI to 10x your output while keeping a high bar for quality.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders or coordinating across groups.

Benefits

  • Annual salary: 70,000-125,000 USD/year
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Eligible for performance bonus
  • Stock Option Plan
