Bank Manager

Classification: Exempt

Reports to: Regional President

Summary/Objective

The Bank Manager (BM) creates, develops and supports a dynamic retail team that will maintain strong consumer and commercial customer relationships by providing quality services that help customers achieve their financial dreams. The BM utilizes leadership and management skills to promote a sales culture that includes outside business development calls and maintains control of operations and compliance standards.

Essential Functions

  1. Hires, develops, trains and maintains a dynamic retail team to ensure all sales and operational processes are followed.
  2. Develops, mentors and manages staff, including motivating, coaching and counseling, while adhering to the Banks Vision, Core Competencies and Moments of Truth.
  3. Listens for referral opportunities and utilizes the banks Customer Relationship Management system to document, maintain and expand customer relationships while coaching their team to do the same.
  4. To grow and expand customer relationships, the BM will conduct outside sales calls to existing and new customers to expand deposit and lending relationships including small business lending.
  5. Participates, supports and encourages team participation in local community events, clubs and activities including Bank at Work activities and Financial Literacy classes.

Secondary Functions

  1. Assists customers with banking needs including opening and closing accounts, account maintenance, and consumer lending.
  2. Maintains the branch facility.

Supervisory Responsibility

Assistant Bank Manager, Universal Bankers and CSR Supervisor. May vary from branch to branch.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional retail branch. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, teller validators and scanners.

Physical Demands

  1. Prolonged periods working at a desk.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours vary according to the branch location.

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  1. High school graduate or GED and either Associates Degree or 4 years of related experience.
  2. High energy with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Ability to develop, mentor and manage staff while using interpersonal and leadership skills.

  1. Bachelors degree or more than 5 years of related work experience.
  2. Banking experience.
