Job description

Essential Functions & Key Areas of Responsibility
Performs the following duties with minimal oversight, under general supervision:
• Develop customer relationships through active profiling and needs-based questioning to identify deposit, credit, investment, and other needs.
• Responsible for opening new personal and business deposit accounts, identifying, and selling appropriate consumer loan solutions, responding to customer inquiries, resolving complex issues, and recognizing and referring cross sale opportunities.
• Adhere to all operational and security policies and procedures, including enforcing compliance and privacy policies maintained by the Bank.
• Establish, retain, and deepen relationships with existing and new customers in the community to achieve branch sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
• Perform all Customer Service Teller functions and have a cash drawer as necessary, maintaining proper cash and authority limits while balancing as required.
• Demonstrate the ability to prospect, plan selling strategy and make cold calls. Use sales and business development skills necessary to develop and actively participate in a calling program.
• Responsible for soliciting prospective business customers through various activities including, networking events, outside business calling program, serving on inside or outside committees as Bank representative, etc. • Identify and make referrals for consumer loans or small business lending, take applications.
• Assist customers in challenging balancing situations; offer fresh start loans.
• Offer and assist customers with cash management needs and generate referrals.
• Serve as Montana Notary Public responsible to verify authenticity of documents and act as impartial witness in the signing of legal documents.
• May be responsible for consumer and small business lending.
• May assist with the responsibility for facility management, including security, opening, and closing procedures.
• May have leadership responsibilities including but not limited to training and mentorship of new and existing employees.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent & extensive knowledge of deposits, cash-handling, & consumer loan products and services 2 years of relevant sales experience
Principles of Banking course
Education and Experience Preferences
4-year college degree (accounting, business, finance, management or related) or equivalent combination of education & experience
Experience with deposit accounts, cash-handling & relevant sales experience Leadership experience
