Job description

Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Branch Manager, this part-time, non-exempt hourly role assists members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. The Member Service Representative/Teller offers financial solutions to member concerns and uses problem solving to meet member's needs. To assist in connecting members with the correct channel of services including, but not limited to, member development officers and back office services.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
1. Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders and travelers checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
2. Cash checks and pay money from savings and checking accounts upon verification of signatures and/or member identification. Inspect all checks, bonds, money orders, etc. to determine their negotiability.
3. Perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input and answering the telephone.
4. Welcome members and provide routine information concerning services and connect members with Banking or Loan Officers who can further assist.
5. Balance cash drawer and perform daily transactions.
6. Practice confidentiality where indicated in employee matters and credit union operations.
7. Cooperate and work together as a team with coworkers, maintain a neat work area, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Certifications

โ€ข 1-12 months of similar or related experience.
