POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for a variety of high-level accounting activities for the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts for properties/equipment, current liabilities, long-term liabilities, and other assets.
  • Records costs of newly acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible)
  • Tracks existing fixed assets, records any depreciation/amortization and accounts for the assets' disposition.
  • Maintains equipment lease schedules and ensures lease payments are made promptly.
  • Collects all tax-related information and oversees reporting to taxation authorities at the federal, state, and local levels in a timely manner.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for any other government-related finance inquiries.
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts and oversees various tax filings including deferred income, sales & use, building property, payroll, annual tax filings, etc.
  • Oversees corporate liquidity, investments, and risk management related to the company's financial activities.
  • Reviews, manages, and reconciles company bank and credit card accounts.
  • Reconciles corporate balance sheet accounts including current assets, current liabilities, long term liabilities, and other assets.
  • Oversees general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions.
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts including current assets, liabilities, and equity.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, master's preferred
  • At least 1 years direct experience
  • CPA preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of related accounting software and general ledger entries
  • Stellar communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent mathematics skill
