BASIC FUNCTION:

Primary:Tellersarethe first to contact to our valued customers. Tellers provide service to Bank customers by conducting appropriate transactions and meeting the needs of customers by providing prompt, efficient and accurate service interactions. Tellers are required to represent the Bank in a courteous, professional manner, and be alert to customer needs while also referring them to appropriate departments in the Bank when those needs are identified.

Backup:Customer Service Representatives are often the first to interact with new customer accountsand the ones that help them form an opinion of the bank. By having a conversation and understanding what a customer needs the CSR can recommend and open personalized product and service solutions that address those needs. The most important job as the face of SouthEast Bank is to build a long-lasting relationship that helps us match customers with the solutions they need to help them reach their financial goals.

TELLER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Complete customer transactions according to established guidelines
  • Identify referral opportunities and makes appropriate referrals
  • Contribute, support and develop effective relationships with all branch partners including branch employees, Customer Care Representatives, Branch Review Coordinator, Mortgage Representative, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, operations procedures and risk management policies
  • Pursue on-going education of SouthEast Bank products, service, other lines of business, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure that all business transactions and practices in the individual's span of control comply with all regulations.
  • Carry out other duties as requested or assigned
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure while multitasking
  • Follow all Bank policies and procedures.

CSR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Primary focus is assisting with client's sales opportunities with additional activities related to service needs, based on over needs of the branch.
  • Use resources to conduct effective client conversations in person and on the telephone and open retail accounts.
  • Provide financial solutions that meet client needs
  • Referring to other lines of business partners for additional solutions. Partners include, but are not limited to: Customer Care Representative, Mortgage, ElFI, Treasury Services, and Merchant Services.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services based on customer needs, in accordance with the bank's program standards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies.
  • Purse on-going education of SouthEast Bank products, services, other lines of business, and federal regulations.
  • Make proactive outbound calls to clients and prospects.
  • Carry out other duties as requested or assigned.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Teller:

  • Ability to operate on-line teller terminal and other standard office equipment.
  • Successful completion of teller training and any other compliance training deemed necessary by the Bank.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of all Bank deposit products and policies

CSR:

  • Attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers and other employees.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to operate on-line teller terminal and other standard office equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Sitting for long periods of time; standing and walking periodically.

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • Cash handling or sales experience, required.
