Customer Service Representative

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Division Manager, the Customer Service Representative has responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction. This is a non-exempt position.

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for a variety of tasks and duties, which may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Accepts and accounts for payments and guarantee deposits from customers; prepares bank deposits and related reports.
  • Handles petty cash fund.
  • Prepares service orders for field crew to assist customers.
  • Answers telephone.
  • Responds to customer inquiries.
  • Explains service, rates, credit and billings to customers.
  • Types letters, forms, records and reports.
  • Maintains Division files and records.
  • Operates computer tenninal.
  • Operates office radio system in accordance with applicable rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Reconciles monthly banking reimbursement requests.
  • Performs other duties assigned by Division Manager.

EXPERIENCE. SKILLS. KNOWLEDGE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The required skills, knowledge and physical requirements i1iclude, but are not limited to the following:

  • General office experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Must be able to operate a computer terminal, personal computer, typewriter, calculator and telephone system.
  • Must be able to handle money transactions accurately.
  • Must be a competent typist and have legible handwriting.
  • Must be able to perform routing office assignments.
  • Must be qualified to meet the public in a satisfactory manner.
  • Good communication skills
  • Neat and professional appearance.
  • Dependable, punctual, and with good attendance.
  • Ability to interact with supervisors, co-workers, and other employees in a cooperative and professional manner.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical activities using feet, legs, hands, and arms, climb stairs, lift up to 50 lbs., reach, grasp, push, and pull. Position also requires filing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching into file drawers daily.

EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

The following are required:

  • High school graduate or equivalentwith supplemental business school studies desirable.
  • Valid, appropriate Arizona driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must be bondable for the handling of money.
