Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: IT Project Coordinator and Developer

Department: IT

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Deputy Head of IT

Summary/Objective: Responsible for assisting Head of IT in various duties as required.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assist to collect information of business departmentโ€™s requirements and discuss the details of requirements with the colleagues from the business department to decide what result can be generated by IT department.
  2. Assist to manage the project, including organizing business team testing, conducting troubleshooting, and collecting all project-related documents.
  3. Assist to conduct the business requirement analysis, including business requirement document preparation, detail of desired functions analysis and interface technical specification analyzing.
  4. Assist to conduct the testing and maintain the functions of web applications to ensure they work as expected.
  5. Assist to conduct the software and application inventory maintenance, classification and security evaluation.
  6. Assist to develop internal tools and scripts to increase the production efficiency of IT department and bank, using PHP, Python, SQL, Wordpress etc.
  7. Able to communicate with the Head Office in Chinese to conduct troubleshooting, understand the Head Office's technical solutions, and collaborate with the project team to complete the Head Office's project management procedures.

Competencies:

  1. Knowledge of Database and report development: SQL Knowledge
  2. Ability to be flexible and work within tight deadlines.
  3. Ability to perform services in person from a Bank office or branch to, among other things, access the Bankโ€™s computer systems and engage in an interactive environment with coยญworkers.

Physical Demands:

This is primarily a sedentary role, requiring use of standard office equipment such as a computer. Work takes place in person in an office environment. The work also involves walking around the office and talking to employees and supervisors.

Required Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related to software development. Master degree preferred.
  2. Prior working experience in banking application development and/or reporting development is a plus.
  3. Prior 2-3 years working experience in Bank or in Banking system is a plus

Language/Communication Skills:

Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
