Job description

The Digital Banking Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and evolving the bank's digital banking architecture across web, mobile, API, and integration platforms. This role ensures scalable, secure, and customer-centric digital solutions that align with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture standards. The architect works closely with product, security, infrastructure, and vendor teams to deliver modern digital experiences for retail and/or commercial banking customers.

The Solution Architect will also need to work closely with the core conversion team to understand where/how the data will be migrated. Therefore the candidate should also have strong data architecture experience.

Finally, the Architect will work with multiple vendors that are supplying applications to the bank.

Define and maintain the digital banking architecture roadmap aligned with business and IT strategy.
Establish architecture standards, patterns, and best practices for digital channels.
Technical Skills
Digital banking platforms (retail/commercial), mobile and web architectures.
API design, REST/GraphQL, OpenAPI, API gateways.
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Microservices, event streaming, and integration patterns (ESB/iPaaS).
Security architecture: OAuth2, SAML, MFA, Zero Trust, encryption.
CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, observability and performance tuning.
Databases (SQL/NoSQL), caching, and data integration.
