Job description

PT RETAIL BAKERY ASSOCIATE (WW)

As a Bakery Associate, you will be responsible for helping assemble and distribute various baked, sandwich, sliced, and packaged goods. Candidates must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Must be able to communicate and work effectively in a team environment. Must be able to follow instructions (written & verbal), safely and accurately operate deli equipment (if needed) and maintain compliance with FDA GMP standards. Must be willing to follow all established policy and safety guidelines in a drug-free workplace. 

  • Must be eligible to work in the Unites States
  • Must be at least 16 years old. 
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, must be available weekends and holidays. 
  • Must be able to work overtime on an as-needed basis per the Supervisor
  • Willing and able to carry up to 50 pound with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Willing and able to stand with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Willing and able to read documents and labels
  • Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
    • Manage product maintenance and rotation to avoid damages or spoilages.
    • Supervise deli counter to ensure prompt services to customers.
    • Provide assistance to staff on preparation and packaging of deli products.
    • Manage high volume of customers in courteous manner.
    • Respond to customer’s queries promptly and accurately.
    • Observe sanitation and safety procedures to offer quality services.
    • Perform slicing, cutting, weighing and pricing of the products.
    • Transport products to preparation or storage areas when needed.
    • Keep the store shelves loaded with product all the times.
    • Remove outdated and damaged products from shelves and storage areas.

Work Environment:
Duties are performed primarily in the Bakery department and front counter. Work includes walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting deli products weighing up to 50 pounds. Duties also include frequent interaction with customers and associates.

Physical Demands
Must be able to frequently lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
