A.I.S., Inc. (AIS) is a national scientific services firm supporting maritime activities requiring certification of compliance with environmental regulations as well as collecting data for use by Federal, State, Municipal, and other government agencies along the US coastline. AIS is looking for a Bottom Longline Survey Technician (Level II–III) to support NOAA Fisheries’ Bottom Longline Survey and related SEFSC resource surveys.
Primary Function:
Support the SEFSC Bottom Longline Survey and related SEFSC resource surveys, serving in shipboard leadership and sampling roles, coordinating trophic and life-history studies on elasmobranchs and teleosts, and providing data management and advanced analytical support in the western North Atlantic Ocean. This position is contingent upon contract award and available funding.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Resource Surveys: Serve as Field Party Chief, Watch Leader, or Watch Stander on the SEFSC Bottom Longline Survey and other SEFSC resource surveys as needed, and support non-survey field work in similar roles:

Compensation: Candidates will be paid an hourly rate to be negotiated, and total compensation will vary depending on candidates’ depth of experience. This is a full–time position. AIS benefits package includes health and dental insurance, vacation, sick and holiday benefits.
