Job description


This position is responsible for maintaining Contractor Outcomes of an approved Government Property Management System. This includes the maintenance of records, physical inventory efforts, compliant property reporting in accordance with contractual requirements and FAR regulations. Management of Customer/Government-Owned Property from point of receipt until final disposition. Position includes support of contractor self-assessments and the audits of the Property Management System.
The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution - from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
The Integrated Supply Chain team has a direct impact on program success, acting as a critical chain that links the end-to-end material flow together. Our organization helps propel us forward and achieve true mission partnership.
What You'll Do:
  • Maintain auditable records of Customer/Government-Owned Property.
  • Ensure records include proper accountability and a complete audit trail covering acquisition, receipt, identification, documentation, physical inventory, utilization, reporting, subcontractor control, maintenance, disposition, and contract property closeout.
  • Ensure assets are received properly, identified, and recorded as appropriate.
  • Create, update, and maintain accurate records (active and retired) throughout all life-cycle events, with supportable documentation (soft or hard copy) for all transactions.
  • Conduct physical inventories of property.
  • Work with Contract Administrators and Program Managers to ensure proper use of Customer/Government Property.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, contractual requirements, and FAR/DFARS regulations.
  • Assist in preparing internal and external property reports as required and maintain auditable backup data (e.g., LTDD, RODS, IUID registry entries, GFP Module reports, annual reports, inventory reports, excess property reports).
  • Demonstrate the ability to use Government databases, repositories, and related systems.
  • Identify property issues and propose practical solutions to management.
  • Work under general supervision and provide regular status updates to manager(s).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant disciplines, industry practices, trends, and applications.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and comply with safety objectives and policies.
  • Share responsibility for professional development with immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and their effects on contracts.
  • Protect the confidentiality of sensitive information.Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
