These skills and qualities are important to ensure efficient stock management, accurate inventory control, and smooth coordination with front-end staff.

What jobs will no longer exist in 2030?

Backroom stocker roles are likely to evolve rather than disappear entirely by 2030, as automation and technology such as inventory management systems and robotic shelving become more common. However, some manual stocking jobs may decline if retailers fully adopt automated solutions, reducing the need for human labor in certain tasks.
