Job description

Irrigation Technician

Job Type: Full-time- 40 hours per week with occasional opportunities for overtime.
Salary Per Hour: Varies based on experience
Summary:
An Irrigation Technician produces irrigation repairs, makes irrigation upgrades, and manages water in landscapes.
Reports to: Field Operations Manager
Responsibilities:
  1. Ensures quality irrigation repairs and other irrigation work.
  2. Responsible for meeting daily route/project requirements of Green Summit Contracts.
  3. Oversees and manages 1 other person (irrigation tech helper).
  4. Proactively manages irrigation needs for the maintenance accounts.
  5. Responsible for safe operation of all equipment required to complete the work on any given workday.
  6. Meets productivity budgets for hours, gross margin, and book revenue. This includes checking timecards for accuracy and adjusting the schedule as needed.
  7. Meet with Account Manager, Field Operations Managers, and Crew Leaders on sites when needed.
  8. Provides training as needed to Green Summit Team Members.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skills required. Operational Skills:
Ability to operate a trencher, ability to drive a ¾ ton truck, or bigger, with a 18’ trailer hauling equipment. Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record. JS-6 License and backflow testing certification preferred but not required.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.

Work Environment:
