Job description

Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Back End Software Engineer to develop user-focused solutions with a focus on clean code, APIs, and analytics. The role involves collaborating with a development team to create efficient systems and tools while leveraging the latest architectural approaches and frameworks.
Responsibilities:
• Identify potential risks and contribute to solution development.
• Create efficient and effective systems for clients.
• Work with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience in software development with programming languages, such as Python, and back-end software design
• 5+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methods
• Experience with AWS, including serverless, such as AWS Lambda
• Experience with object-oriented programming, RESTful APIs, and microservices
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL
• Experience with creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative and cross-functional team
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED
Preferred:
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with backend frameworks, such as FastAPI
• Experience with front-end programming languages and web stacks, such as React
• Experience with infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Terragrunt
• Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products
• Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
